Equipped with up-to-date high definition medical simulations manikins and the appropriately trained education team, we prepare our staff for the rigors of work in a remote area clinical environment meeting both the routine day-to-day operational needs of the workforce and waiting in readiness to deal with unforeseen operational incidents requiring an immediate emergency response whether the response is for one casualty or many. All remote health care practitioners undergo an initial familiarization to their role by undertaking a remote health care orientation course. Orientation is followed by evaluation and deployment and where required, additional familiarization with site specific skills and competencies eg pulmonary function test, audiogram, specific health monitoring tactics etc. CMC’s Medical Education & Training Centre also provides a range of mandatory courses and utilizes highly developed materials from internationally recognized organizations eg American Heart Association, Institute of Remote Health Care, National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, National Disaster Life Support Foundation, American College of Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Course are conducted monthly and on-demand and are provided both within the training Centre and via webcasts developed in-house by our medical education team.
